NL Plants, the specialist in forest and hedge plants
We grow over 300 different varieties, both in open ground and in containers. We do this at our own nursery, as well as in collaboration with various suppliers. Our products are sold throughout Europe. Our plants are suitable for forestry, landscaping, nature conservation, and hedges.
One of our areas of expertise is native plant stock. A large portion of our assortment consists of native plants from selected stands listed in the Tree Variety List. We grow these plants as sustainably as possible by using as few pesticides as possible.

Forestry
NL Plants sells both hardwood and softwood for the European market, which are grown in accordance with European guidelines and Dutch legislation (the Seed and Planting Material Act).
Hedge Plants
NL Plants produces and sells hedge plants of all sizes, both grown in the ground and in containers. Our selection includes both evergreen and deciduous hedge plants.
Ornamental Shrubs
NL Plants offers a wide selection of woody plants that, thanks to their flowers, foliage, and/or fruits, can enhance gardens, parks, and landscapes.
Pins & Springs
NL Plants offers a special selection of plants that are grown at a distance from one another and/or on stakes. These plants remain at the nursery for at least two years longer than usual.
Container Plants
To extend the planting season, a large portion of our assortment is also grown in pots and containers. Forest plants, hedge plants, ornamental shrubs, and spindles & feathers are all available in containers.

Our assortment consists of about 300 different varieties, which are divided into hedge plants, ornamental shrubs, container plants, forestry plants, and spindles/feathers. We have many connections, which allow us to supply plants beyond our own assortment. We supply both smaller and larger plants. Our own plants reach an average height of 250 cm.

A key part of our business is native plant material. We work with tree varieties listed in the Dutch Variety List.
Sustainable and environmentally conscious
Sustainable and environmentally conscious cultivation is only possible if it is in harmony with nature. For this reason, we use natural predators as much as possible in our nursery and practice integrated pest management.
We work with healthy soil and pay close attention to soil structure. To demonstrate our commitment to sustainability, we have obtained MPS Sustainable Quality certification.

Native plants are plants that descend from selected populations that have managed to reproduce in the Netherlands since the last ice age without direct human influence. In short: plants from here, for here. Only 5% of the vegetation in the Netherlands is native. And yet this vegetation is so important for biodiversity.
NL Plants specializes in native plant stock, and we are committed to increasing the availability of native plant stock in the Netherlands.
